Zna se!

This week posters once more appeared in Belgrade with messages of support for genocide indictee Ratko Mladić, this time accompanied by claims that he is a "Serb." These ones were put up by the members of the cheeky neofascist group "Obraz." Danish artists Pia Bertelsen and Jan Egesborg (I may be misspelling their names, which I encountered in the rendering po Vuku) responded by adding a variety of slogans to the posters: "We know who you are talking to," "We know you have weak nerves," and "We know you are a coward."

Unfortunately, I am out of Belgrade theese days..
If I saw these ugly danish faces sticking their shit across the posters of our hero, they could return home only with broken bones!

That's a very impressive threat, beginning by declaring that you are not in a position to do something, following up with a couple of vague qualifications, claiming that you will do something that you have neither the intention nor the capacity to do, and hiding behind a pseudonym that implicates people who have nothing to do with you.

I would love more info about who those people are. What are they doing in Belgrade in the first place? Inquiring minds want to know!

Yes it must have taken a lot of brainpower for them to come up with Srb-in (its 'in' to be Serb).

Those confused Obrazovites are beyond help unfortunately - although they quite obviously need it.

Exactly the kind of story the western media loves because they think it represents western civilized values in the barbaric balkans and it's very black & white.

They seem to be having trouble, though, finding someone more fashionable than 'Bosnian Citizen' Kandic.

What happend to all those Otporniks?
Some of them must be working for 'independent' organizations like the ICG (oops, they've left Belgrade) and other professional organizations...

It's a real shame on Serbia that it's ALWAYS left up to foreigners to show them the way... Then again, when you're having problems with your relations with the moslem world (the Danish cartoons), much better to preach abroad and rebuild one's moral authority!

Mladic should hand himself in an pretend to be senile, then he can go home and live happily ever after, just like Pinochet. Isn't the West just great?

Indeed, what has happened to the people who managed several good art-based public manifestations in Zloba's day? Nothing against Danish imports, but they had a fine domestic product.
