I still do not know anything about the murder of a candidate for the local council in Novi Pazar, except that it happened at the polling place.
Update: Two attackers have been arrested, police are seeking a third. The two main regional political parties are accusing one another.

Sandzak has been getting a little more tense over the last couple of years.

I think part of the reason is that with votes pretty well divided, it's the regionally based ethnic parties that hold the balance of power to make or break a government. Although I am in favor of guaranteeing some parliamentary seats to minority groups, I am also sometimes afraid that doing this could make the tensions worse.
Yeah they have published the names as well. The 'good' news is that it doesnt appear to be an ethnic incident.
Whats your take on the elctions in Montenegro Eric?
I've written something at my B92 blog on this.
Oh and in case any of you guys dont know yet James Lyon is now writing for B92 blog.

As for the CG vote, I have to confess that I have not been following events much there at all. I guess I do not find it very surprising, but single-party rule is not going to be too helpful if it continues for a long time.
Thanks for the update! There wasn't anything where I usually look for news.
