The mysterious number, 9999

Somebody in Belgium is the 9999th visitor to East Ethnia. For you, a dog picture:

This is not actually a photo of Lajoš Gordy, but of some other dog of the same breed. Looks a lot like him, though.

Well, this is somebody elses. I checked with the wife and daughter about whether it looks like Lajos, and Azra said "this dog isnt as fat," and Ivana said "Lajos has eyes less like a baboon and more like an orangutan." So adjust on your own...

I think I might be the mysterious Belgian visitor. (Or are there other Belgian balkanophiles here?) Thanks for the dog picture, anyway, from all Belgians.

Welcome to all Belgian balkanophiles! I have to confess that I have never had the pleasure of visiting Belgium, a condition I would be happy to correct. But I like the dogs and the beer, and have a piece of trivia to offer: Marvin Gaye recorded his last album in Ostend.

Well, Belgium, of course, is the most beautiful country in the world. Apart from the Great Marvin Gaye recording his last album here, Belgium has some features that might be of interest to a balkananophile, such as two ethnic groups (Flemish and Walloons), a muslim minority and a German minority.

(Not to mention the greates cyclist of all time, Eddy Merckx, and chocolate.)
